BONUS VIDEO: Kinsey & I are starting a new bi-weekly series covering what is new and cool in Retro! We’ll cover video games, but also perhaps music and anything else we think is bitchin’ and rad to the max. If you have stories you think we should cover, please let us know in the comments below!
Looking to buy a Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)? This is the Buying Guide for you! We cover the three different PS3 models, accessories and we list some of our favorite games to get you started! Oh yeah…and we even talk about the PS3 Move controller… 😉
BEHIND THE SCENES: For this video it was important to cover all three models of PS3 and thankfully Kelsey and PinkGorillaGames had two of them that they let us borrow. Those backwards compatible ones easily go for $140+ now. Plus we had a ton of fun just picking out the games we would recommend! Although…when Kelsey showed up with some HD Remasters… I don’t think she fully understood just how many of them I had! So we had some fun with that…
Also…Kelsey was stoked to have purchased a Playstation shirt just the week before and we made sure to get that in the thumbnail. Enjoy!
Dave Nunez shows us his epic 80s & 90s Flight Simulation game collection. I have captured over 40 years worth of game play footage beginning with the Atari 2600 to Nintendo SNES to Genesis to Playstation and XBOX. But also handhelds, Macs, Windows PCs and mobile devices like iOS and Android. Here are all the secrets that you can use on your YouTube channel or in your next video stream!
The Biggest gaming loser gets the dreaded Trophy of Shame in this competition between Metal Jesus, Drunken Master Paul and his wife Liz. We play a motorcycle racing game with the crappy Playstation Glove as well as the infamous Barbie’s Horse Adventures on the original XBOX.
Warning: This video contains swearing, drinking and references to Donkey Shows. It may not be suitable for young children. Although, let’s be honest: if they have access to the internet and YouTube, they’ve probably seen much worse 😉
Behind the Scenes: As you might imagine, we don’t plan out anything on these I HATE U episodes. Paul & Liz showed up knowing almost nothing about what was planned, so we setup 3 cameras and a laptop to capture the footage and then just press Record. What you see on screen is pretty much what happened. No second takes… no script. As you can imagine, 3 cameras capturing HD video and audio for about an hour creates a HUGE file to edit. All told with all the temp files, my Final Cut project was over 300GB!!
What makes these videos fun to produce is the green screen interview B-Roll that we shoot AFTER we played the games. Basically we ask each other “What were you thinking when Metal Jesus brought out the Barbie game?” “Why did you think you were going to win the motorcycle game?” etc… Those moments are nice to mix into the video because they help the flow of the video but also help cut down what was essentially 1 hour of gameplay to around 15 minutes of highlights. Also Liz was incredibly silly that night and gave me a TON of wacky footage to mix into the video.
As for the Jar Jar Jar… make sure and watch the previous I HATE U episode with John Hancock where we play the Star Wars Jar Jar board game…and then light it on fire! (linked here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N0NNHMMeA8)

Kelsey: Hello. Today, we are gonna be talking about Pokémon spin-off games. This includes games that came out here in America, games that never made it outside of Japan or Europe, and also some bootlegs.
Metal Jesus: And this is perfect for me because I don’t know anything about Pokémon. So let’s take a look. So I don’t know anything about this. Where should we begin?
Kelsey: I guess we should like start with some game that you guys might be familiar with because they did come out here in the States. Some of you guys have probably even played these. We’ll start with a really obvious one that I think a lot of you guys know.
Mega game collector Kacy da Game Nerd walks us through his COMPLETE Nintendo Wii collection. 1260 games make up this impressive collection, but what we want to know is : WHY?! Are you CRAZY?

Maybe even Roxie the Dog will get to challenge you at a game of Mario Kart…but she gets to play as the plumber…

Metal Jesus here and I’m back again with a video that’s gonna be all about Piko Interactive. Now they are a game publisher that is putting out brand new, high quality, retro games for like the Super Nintendo, the SEGA Mega Drive, Genesis, the original NES, the Game Boy Advance. As a matter of fact, they sent me an entire box of most of the games that they sell. So we’re gonna check these out. Now what’s cool about them is that they basically license homebrews and original games. They also licenses games that were unfinished, that never came to market. Or maybe there were games that just never made it to North American market and they’re re-releasing them in really high quality versions. So for instance they create the labels, the cartridges, they also create the manuals, the boxes, it’s pretty impressive stuff. Let’s take a look.
