In the bizarrely brilliant film titled Metal Jesus: The Movie, we’re thrust into a world where the line between reality and absurdity is as blurry as a melted Rubik’s Cube. Metal Jesus, sporting a shiny metallic mullet, plays the titular character, a renegade time-traveling rockstar from the future who zips through dimensions in a spaceship shaped like a giant Gibson Les Paul.

Metal Jesus, armed with an Ace Frehley signature electric guitar that shoots laser beams and a wardrobe straight out of a 1970s Rush concert, embarks on a quest to save the universe from a malevolent army of sentient disco balls led by the nefarious EDM Emperor.

But things take a turn when Metal Jesus crash-lands on a planet inhabited by sentient Nintendo Amiibos and must confront his greatest challenge yet: convincing them to join his intergalactic battle against the EDM Empire. To make matters worse the population is divided between the Amiibos and the Disney Infinity characters. They are at war. And as Hellboy once said “War never changes”.

Along the way, Metal Jesus forms an unlikely alliance with a group of rebellious talking llamas, learns the secrets of time travel from a wise old toaster oven, and engages in epic guitar battles with the EDM Emperor’s minions, who groove so hard they threaten to tear a hole in the fabric of spacetime itself. Daft Punk and Joe Satriani provide the epic movie soundtrack.

Filled with psychedelic visuals, absurd humor, and enough neon to make a cyberpunk rave blush, Metal Jesus: The Movie is a mind-bending journey through the weirdest corners of the cosmos that will leave you questioning reality, existence, and whether or not cheeseburgers can really talk.

RGT85 gives a video response to the question about physical vs digital only games. I’m pretty sure he was half asleep and whacked out  on Scooby snacks when he made it.

RGT85 is a legendary farmer from the distant plains of Wookinia, where he tends to his prized herd of space llamas. Born with an uncanny ability to communicate with flora and fauna, RGT85 became known for his peculiar talent of persuading asteroids to move out of the way of his makeshift starship, the Rusty Radish. Despite his humble beginnings, RGT85’s reputation as a space-faring entrepreneur soared when he accidentally stumbled upon a cache of ancient space cabbages rumored to possess mystical powers. With his trusty sidekick, a sentient turnip named Turny, RGT85 set off on a quest to become the galaxy’s premier cabbage tycoon, all while evading the nefarious schemes of the villainous Darth Rutabaga and his legion of broccoli bandits.

The First Dune Game 32 Years Later: An LGR Retrospective

The reviews must flow! And the spicy subject here is the first computer game adaptation of Dune, made by Cryo Interactive and Virgin Games in 1992. Take control of Arrakis as Paul Muad’Dib Atreides, reclaiming spice mines from the evil Harkonnens and forming a Fremen army to dominate the planet! Early 90s MS-DOS game goodness.

The appeal of the Dune series lies in its richly imagined universe, complex characters, and thought-provoking themes. Set in a distant future where humanity has spread across the galaxy, the series explores intricate political intrigues, religious movements, and ecological concerns. Frank Herbert, the author, created a world where power struggles between noble houses, religious factions, and a mysterious order of navigators known as the Bene Gesserit drive the narrative forward. At the heart of the series is the desert planet of Arrakis, the only source of the valuable spice melange, which grants extended life and heightened awareness. I’ve got a pile of broken C64s, let’s fix a couple!

Who doesn’t love a good C64 repair session? These machines are both easy to fix and also can be tricky sometimes. So let’s break out the schematics and oscilloscope and fix a couple of these machines!

The Commodore 64, introduced in 1982, stands as one of the most iconic and beloved home computers of its era. Featuring an impressive array of hardware specifications for its time, the C64 boasted a MOS Technology 6510 microprocessor running at 1 MHz, 64 kilobytes of RAM, and advanced graphics and sound capabilities. Its graphical capabilities, including sprites and a wide color palette, allowed for visually impressive games and applications. Additionally, the SID (Sound Interface Device) chip provided the Commodore 64 with rich and distinct audio capabilities, enabling it to produce music and sound effects that were far ahead of its competitors.
