This was one of my first popular videos on YouTube…and I think it’s easy to see why: Drunken Master Paul and I are having a ton of fun tearing down and building back up an arcade cabinet that still gets used in my Game Room.
This video comprised of two full days of shooting and there was a ton of footage cut from the final video, but now you can get the behind the scenes audio commentary from both us of.
Please let me know what you think of these commentaries. Are you enjoying them? Thanks!
Holy cow! This was way more complicated than I ever expected… oh…and did I mention that 3 more rare blue dev disks showed up after my last video!? Thankfully Tony from @Hard4Games flew from Detroit to Seattle to help me discover what is on my mystery blue disk, whether there was anything on the other 3 disks AND backup the firmware of the drive itself! It’s an epic tale full of mystery, intrigue and excitement!
Behind the Scenes w/ METAL JESUS ROCKS in Seattle! – H4G
Tony: Had an amazing time in Seattle with Metal Jesus Rocks! For those unaware, he had found an ultra-rare American N64 DD unit. It’s so rare that it’s the only one known to exist. He generously flew me out to shoot a video, show me around Seattle, and ultimately preserve the contents of his discovery. Amazing time. 10/10 would Seattle again!
This week Kinsey takes a look at the new 3D remake of Adventures of Mana for PSVita, iOS & Android. We also tell you about the Sega Saturn copy protection was finally cracked! Exciting news from Nintendo as they announce the upcoming Classic Edition of the original NES with 30 games. We also mention some games that came out 20 years ago and finally… we would be remiss to not at least talk about the prototype 64DD that Metal Jesus found!
We are back from E3 Expo 2016 with some killer retro gaming news plus it’s time to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Kinsey’s favorite console: the N64! WHOO HOO!
Anna is the drummer for the metal band 6 Days of Darkness AND a huge video game collector! She gives Metal Jesus an exclusive tour of her game room (or Lady Loft as she likes to call it) and highlights from her varied game collection. Let’s do this old school MJR Cribs -style, yo!
Dave Nunez has a PHD in Computer Science & Virtual Reality (VR) & helps answer the questions: Why is VR so hard? Why is it so expensive? And which VR setup should gamers get?
The game H.E.R.O. by Activision is considered one of the best games for the Atari 2600 and it just happens to be one of my favorite games of all time! The game was pretty advanced for the time and it is still a challenging and fun game to play today. I do my best to try and get through all 20 original levels in this video. Can I make it?
Kinsey & Metal Jesus bring you the latest news in retro gaming for April 12th 2016. If you have stories you’d like to see us cover, please let us know!
Some games are so good they refuse to die and instead deserve another chance at life. Often it’s just that they need updated graphics to be more modern…and other times they may need an entire overhaul from the ground up! In this video Metal Jesus & Kelsey list off some of the games they would like to see HD-ified for a new generation!
